Suggest Friend

Wannahang seeks to create an authentic network of people who have met or will meet by recommendations from other people from their network of friends.

One of the biggest problems some platforms face today is the number of scammers in these groups as well as the difficulty that exists in identifying and filtering them. Geolocation based apps offer great social opportunities but also pose great risk to safety if they do not implement design features which prevent bad actors entering the system.

This has been deeply considered in the design of the application.

  • Users can not browse through the friend's list of other users in any circumstance. Meaning that the chances to be adding random people are incredibly reduced.

  • When wanting to add someone, instead of searching by their name like on the conventional platforms, the user will only be able to search the friend they want to add by writing their email address (the one that the person created the account with). In this way, Wannahang prevents to a large degree the scammers & those with malicious intent from finding and adding random people.

  • An analysis mechanism will provide users with warnings when those who have no connection with their network try to interact with their profile.

Thus networks will be built entirely on those who users know directly and have shared email with & those who have been recommended by existing connections.

When suggesting a friend, this message will immediately pop up:

“Creating a safe community begins with being mindful of who we recommend, Wannahang aims that users have previously encountered the people they recommend. Let's build together a strong network where every recommendation is backed by genuine connections and shared experiences."
